indie jewelry

Indie jewelry is fast gaining in popularity. It is just one of the ways that consumers are showing their taste for originality in what they wear. Unfortunately, not everyone can afford to buy designer jewelry all the time. Most of us aren’t movie stars. But we still want to look the best without spending too much. And that’s where indie jewelry has stepped in.

(adj) - untethered in origin; independent of any outside influence usually in monetary form; Ex. iamthemandy’s indie jewelry is super fly.

The word, “indie” is an oft used phrase these days. Mostly, we hear it regarding music groups that are not really “indie” at all. Death Cab for Cutie is a band that always comes to mind when I think, “indie band”. But really, it’s more of a style and belief system. It’s a way for artists to show everyone that they can make it on their own. Since iamthemandy has no investors, they are considered an indie jewelry artists. They are the one's that are going to the garage and estate sells to find discards to turn into eye-catching jewelry that is all made by hand.

That doesn’t mean that the films are somehow less superior than their MGM or Universal Studios counterparts. It just means the film maker had to find ways of supporting the film other than through a studio. Moon, the 2009 indie sci-fi film starring Sam Rockwell and Kevin Spacey, won over 15 different awards without the backing of Hollywood.

But to iamthemandy, indie jewelry means “creative” jewelry. It means “unique” jewelry. It also means “quality” jewelry. These are the things that matter most when iamthemandy creates indie jewelry.
